Youth

We have three youth groups for First Lutheran that meet from September to May,  they are as follows:

3^rd – 6^th Grade: This group meets the 2^nd Sunday of each month from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Each month they will participate in various activities at church or travel to a destination for their event.  Depending on the activity lunch will either be provided or youth will need to bring a lunch.  This group will also have one overnight event during the year.

Junior High: This group is open to kids in 6^th,7^th, and 8^th grade.  We meet the 4^th Sunday of each month from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Each month they will participate in various activities at church or travel to a destination for their event.  Depending on the activity lunch will either be provided or youth will need to bring a lunch. Activities include: Bowling, messy games, scavenger hunt, roller skating, etc.

High School:  Our high school group meets the 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of each month from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.  They will participate in a variety of activities including: Photo scavenger hunt, bowling, movie night, Bigger and Better, messy games, Game-O-Rama, etc.  We have an annual Christmas Progressive dinner which involves the youth group traveling to three homes of church members for the appetizer, main course, and dessert portions of their meal.  The Mission trip is a week-long experience each summer that takes our youth to different parts of the country to participate in service projects, bible study, exploring, and team building.  During Christmas break  our youth will attend the State Youth Gathering for 3 days.
