Support Groups

First Lutheran Church sponsors two support groups that meet weekly at the church.  These groups are not limited to church members, but are open to the public as well.  If you are interested in more information about these groups, please use the links below to contact the group facilitator.

Journey Through Grief

A small group designed for widows both old and new.  The first part of each session is centered around the problems unique only to widows and their various struggles adapting to a new life without a partner.  The remainder of the time is spent exploring scripture as it relates to this new role in life.  The group meets at 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday in the library.  All widows are invited to join the group.  For information contact Rosemary.

Overcomers Outreach

Christian Recovery Support Group

Overcomers Outreach is a Christ-centered 12-Step Recovery Program addressing drug, alcohol, gambling, food and other compulsive behaviors or dependencies.

This group meets Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church library located inside the south entrance to the church.   As with other 12-Step programs, these meetings are anonymous.
